The Adoption Process

The first step in adopting a rescued Golden Retriever or Golden Retriever Mix from AGR is to download and submit an adoption application.  The application can be found at the end of this page or under Info & Forms. You can also call 623-566-9247 request one.  The application must be completed in full and sent in by email, fax, or U.S. Mail.  We ask many questions in order to match a dog to your lifestyle and family routine.  Your application will be reviewed by our Home Evaluation Coordinator, who will then assign a Home Evaluator to conduct a telephone interview and arrange to visit you in your home. Our list of dogs changes weekly ensuring that you will soon meet your new companion.
