Arizona Golden Rescue

22-015 Sir Raleigh is one of three purebred Goldens surrendered to AGR by the same owner. He was the only male, 8 years old, and was not neutered. The owner’s wife had passed away some time ago, and he had a new companion who lives in Florida. In commuting back and forth from AZ to FL, he realized that it wasn’t good for his three Goldens to be left with a pet sitter as much as he had to do. Raleigh needed all our standard tests and vaccines and, of course, to be neutered. Fortunately, he was negative for both valley fever and heartworm. When he was neutered, the vet discovered that one of Raleigh’s incisors needed extraction, but the loss of that tooth does not hamper his eating at all. One of transporters delivered him to his adopter, who has adopted senior dogs from AGR before. It was love at first sight, as we thought it would be! Raleigh hit it off well with the adopter's resident Golden female, Marley – no surprise, since Raleigh had been living with two female Goldens. He renamed the boy JoJo. Here is what he had to say:

JoJo has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. He is such a HAPPY BOY! Every day he sings, talks, also sits in front of the TV and watches the dog channel!
