Arizona Golden Rescue

23-053 Storm  is a sweet and friendly 4-and-1⁄2-month-old female Goldendoodle. The owner had  Storm  for a week and discovered that her two resident female chihuahuas were being mean and didn’t want anything to do with her. After tripping over  Storm  twice, the owner found that her puppy energy was too much for her to handle. Since the breeder wouldn’t take  Storm  back,  she was surrendered to  AGR  for rehoming.  Storm  received the  standard vetting with vaccines and tests for valley fever and heartworm. She was given medication for a swollen ankle before going to her foster home with a foster couple in Phoenix. Her foster parents described  Storm  as super sweet, loving, and snuggly. She loved playing with their resident dogs but also played nicely by herself with her toys. After spending three weeks with her fosters,  Storm  moved into her new home with an adoptive family in Phoenix.  Storm  has continued seeing the vet for her ankle, which keeps swelling and causes her to limp. The vet also discovered that she has right hip dysplasia so is currently being treated with injections. The adopters are taking very good care of  Storm  with her ankle and hip issues and are very happy that she is a part of their family. They renamed her  Stella and describe life as it is now: 

Stella  is now a 70-pound, 10-month-old puppy. She  definitely keeps us on our toes! We are so grateful to  AGR  for bringing  Stella  into our family. She is so smart and playful.  Stella  loves to play with toys, especially her squeaky pig, and she will climb right up in my lap if I let her! She is a very lovable dog, so even though she has her challenges (all common puppy issues, like chewing on things, and jumping/nipping when excited), we are happy to have her.
