24-072 Walker , a 1-year-old Golden mix, was a stray that was found by a woman in Phoenix. She found him by the side of a busy road with water and a bag of food. Understandably so, he was a bit scared of riding in the van when  AGR  went to retrieve him from the finder, but he became more relaxed once he was settled.  Walker  was lucky enough to be fostered by a volunteer.  She noticed that he was smart and interacted well with people and other dogs. His interactions were adorable to watch as they would run, play and do the “bowing” move. What is the bowing move? It is a friendly, non-threatening communication technique dogs use to say “I want to be your friend. Let’s go play!” With all these wonderful qualities, the adoptive family were excited to adopt him. He is now called  Duke ! You can feel their love for  Duke  in these sentiments: 

Duke  is a great addition to our family. He enjoys  getting us to walk and hike. He’s made friends at daycare with staff  and other young dogs. He especially enjoys the daycare’s special events that involve treats. He’s a cuddler in the evening and loves to be between us until it gets a bit too warm! 

Duke  is certainly fortunate to be with this wonderful family!
