24-076 Cooper is a neutered male 3-year-old Goldendoodle who sports Poodle-type hair rather than a Golden’s coat. For personal family reasons, Cooper was surrendered to AGR, but, luckily, he found his forever home with his adopter. Before coming to live with her, Cooper lived in harmony with a cat and another dog. Cooper now has the adventure of living in Prescott! The adopter related: Last April I lost my beloved 70-pound 9 -year-old Labradoodle also named Cooper. Losing your best friend is something where no words can really express such a deep loss. Sometimes getting another pet can help in the healing process and open your heart again. You won’t believe what happened as the adopter was looking at rescues: Cooper was available at AGR. Some might say this was meant to be, because Cooper was adopted by her and is affectionately now known as Mini Cooper. There is no other way to describe Cooper other than sweet, cuddly, smart and a good listener. Months of fostering and continued guidance, along with support for behavioral issues, we, AGR and myself, were able to get him back on track. With a solid routine, good nutrition and lots of love, this dog has really blossomed into more than you could ever imagine. The adopter is a disabled veteran – we thank you for your service! Mini Cooper has become her emotional-support dog who always knows when she is struggling. She relates what he does to lift her spirits: Mini Cooper gives me nudges and makes me laugh when we play. We will have many camping adventures this summer. I am very grateful to AGR, especially to Liz [Health Care Director], who has been there through every phone call and email. Her patience, knowledge, and kindness helped me so much getting adjusted to working with a Rescue dog. I do think we are the perfect match. Thank you AGR for making a difference in Mini Cooper’s life and mine. I think we can all agree that this adopter and Mini Cooper were meant to be, and maybe, just maybe, Cooper was making sure that they found each other.
