24-086 Ava is a Goldendoodle puppy who is 10 weeks old; her white coat is tinged with tan, yellow and fawn patches. The original owners had been given Ava as a Christmas gift from their daughter. Unfortunately, they were too elderly to care for a puppy who is highly active. The adopters had been looking for a Goldendoodle puppy and agreed to Foster-with-Intent-to-Adopt. Ava is smart, playful and affectionate, as well as being crate trained. What else does she like to do? She is a fetcher, plays with toys and guess what? She is a fan of cats! The adopters fell in love at first sight! As they had never raised a puppy, they were inquisitive about how to make her the best Goldendoodle and had many questions for the transporter, who answered them happily. To help Ava, now known as Summer, to be confident and successful, they contacted a trainer to help with walking, jumping, digging and leash training! Why did they pick such a pretty name for her? This season brings warmth, joy and energy, and that is exactly what Summer brings to our lives with her brightness lighting up every space she encounters. Summer greets everyone with an outgoing spirit and wagging tail. She has a quirky habit of proudly parading around the house with socks, never chewing them, just gently carrying them in her mouth like a prized treasure. She delivers them with an eager glint in her eye, like she’s offering a gift, expecting praise or maybe just a laugh. It is her signature move. 

Summer is thriving in her new home, thanks to the diligence and passion of her new owners.
