25-017 Hazel is a 3-year-old spayed Goldendoodle with the most unique coat. She has captivating amber eyes which accentuate her soft gray and silver, along with splashes of salt-and-pepper, coloring. One may see other colors emerge or recede as her coloring changes with the light. Her surrendering owner passed away. The adoptive family were ready for a dog after being a dog-free home for 6 years. There was one thing they had to make certain of before a decision could be made about adopting a dog. Their daughter suffers from allergies. They needed to find a dog who would not trigger them. When they visited the adopter’s dad in Florida, the daughter's allergies were not activated by his two Goldendoodles. It was then that the adopter was determined to find the family a Goldendoodle. She says:

The first time I saw her picture, I had a feeling she would be our dog, even though I was looking at another on the website. [The daughter]and I went to meet her and we immediately fell in love.

An outgoing, happy and playful dog, Hazel warms up to people quite easily. The adopter mentioned: She is quite a bit bigger than the dogs in Florida, but what a sweet gentle giant she is.”

Hazel and the cats are living in harmony after a brief period of adjustment. Here is something that will give you a chuckle:

The funny thing about Hazel is when she gets the zoomies, she’s so big I just say “get out of the way” and we laugh. She also likes to carry her bone in her mouth and launch onto the big dog bed I got her. She seems to be happy. I’m sure she misses her previous owner that passed. With her training and gentleness, I can tell she was well loved. We were truly given a gift of sweet Hazel and we have been blessed.

What a heartwarming adoption for Hazel with her adoptive family.
