25-015 Jessie is an 8-year-old female Golden Retriever that was surrendered from a breeder in California. During her time with the breeder, Jessie had produced several litters. After her last litter, Jessie had been retired and adopted by someone who later had to relinquish her. And that is where AGR got involved. The adopter was Jessie’s chauffeur from California along with 2 other dogs. He and his wife decided to Foster-with-Intent-to-Adopt, which quickly turned into an adoption. I will bet this may have been just one of the reasons: She was an ideal guest! As they lovingly state: Having recently lost Gracie at 13 .5 years old, we decided we would like to provide this senior with a forever home fitting her age. How lucky is Jessie to not only be with this adoptive couple, but their two other dogs, Levi and Windy, too, who welcomed Jessie with open paws. Wasting no time at all, Jessie claimed her spot on the couch! And that was that! She will need a bit of exercise to trim down and that started with a walk with the adopter which Jessie seemed to enjoy! As an older dog, Jessie still wants to do things she did as a younger pup! The adopters will no doubt need to rein her in when she goes overboard with her playfulness and athleticism. A favorite activity for Levi, Windy, and Jessie is to hunt rabbits, lizards, and beg for treats as a pack. What a wonderful retirement life for Jessie!
