25-031 Aurora, now known as Carli, is a Golden bundle of sunshine with a YOLO attitude and a heart full of wiggles. Her owner showed up at the AGR president's house when the puppy was only 8 weeks of age. She had had the puppy only three days and said her resident adult male Golden wouldn't accept the puppy. Of course, the President took her, but within an hour she realized she "couldn't do puppy" and called another member, who had just released another foster dog for adoption. The new foster mom took Aurora and kept her as a foster for several weeks, getting her initial vetting done. Puppies are a LOT of work, this one especially – she had Giardia, coccidia, Cryptosporidium (all intestinal parasites), and tested positive for parvo, so she had to keep her isolated from her other dogs and carefully and immediately clean up every poop the puppy produced. [Editor's Note: a new monoclonal antibody treatment is available for parvo – AGR gave Aurora the treatment, so her case was always very mild and cleared up quickly.]

When Aurora was adopted by an adoptive couple, the foster mom breathed a sign of relief! They observed that Aurora is a certified cuddler, professional snuggler and part-time ankle biter with a flair for chaos. Her new owners want to give you a good laugh about Carli’s hobbies: “She swims at her own leisure, followed by epic wet-zoomies through the house. But it is not just swimming! She chases tennis balls and fearlessly launches herself into the pool. Sometimes, she will be playing her favorite game: Drying Off = Wrestling Match. Carli is a collector of random “treasures” a.k.a., things and stuff. She then tests the limits of what can be considered edible. It is no wonder that after all her energetic exploits, you’ll find her snoozing in the most ridiculous positions, melting hearts as the sweetest little Golden nugget. 

Carli lives big, loves food fiercely, and proves daily that puppy life is best lived at full speed. Carli hit the jackpot with her new home!
