Learn more about the Golden Retriever.
25-047 Sara Lee is an 8-year-old female Golden Retriever who came to AGR as a stray. The person who found her was unable to keep her, so we were called. When she arrived, she had no chip or collar; her age was estimated to be between 8 and 10 years old. BUT she behaves more like a 10-month-old puppy! Sara Lee has since been adopted by an adoptive couple, who gave her a new name that perfectly suits her bright spirit, Sunny . They want you to know: Sunny’s name is truly a reflection of her personality. She is love wrapped in a strawberry-blond sweater. The adopters have a few sweet anecdotes they would like to share about her: Sunny loves to play catch and proudly returns her toys, often instigating games throughout the day. What is your superpower? Read what Sunny’s is: Communication is her superpower. She "talks" using an adorable mix of gurgles, grunts, and playful growls. If that doesn’t get the response she desires, she’ll nudge your hand, wiggle her whole body, roll on the floor, or even wipe her face on the carpet – all in an effort to make sure you’re paying attention. Sunny knows how to make her wishes known to the adopters: When Sunny wants something, it’s usually one of her favorites – a treat, a walk, a good petting session, a tummy rub, a trip outside, or a chance to play. You just have to smile at this next little tidbit: She craves attention and affection! The best part is she gives just as much as she receives. Smart, expressive, and full of joy, she’s wonderfully responsive to people and her surroundings, and she has filled her new home with warmth, laughter, and love. What a wonderful forever home for Sunny !
