25-054 Walter  is a 9-month-old male Golden Retriever. His dad is a Doodle, while his mom is a Golden. Walter favors the Golden side. He is a sweet, loving and friendly dog who has been described as a dream boy.  AGR  had surgery done on his shoulder. His original owners had some personal family issues; unfortunately, they had to make this  heartbreaking decision which they didn’t do lightly. They will be happy to know that  Walter  has found a caring and loving family. Such a beautiful sentiment from his forever home: 

Walter  has been such an amazing addition to our family; it feels like he was meant to be here the whole time. He has such a goofy personality that shines when he is with our children playing outside or wrestling with his new fur brother,  Finn . We were told he hadn’t been around kids, but I don’t think anyone would believe that with how gentle and loving he is with our kids. He was immediately drawn to them and is always at their side to cuddle them to death. 

Fireworks are not  Walter’s  favorite sound, but the adopter wants you to know:  His cuddles went to a new level on  New Year’s Eve when fireworks started going off. He jumped into  the corner of the couch and hugged into me as hard as he could to help protect him .

Not only does  Walter  have a wonderful home, he has the privilege of going to work with the man! This is an amazing anecdote from the adopter:  I’ve brought him out to our squadron on  Luke Air Force Base , so he could get some socialization with my students; he was so excited to be the center of attention for the  day. I don’t think he went more than five minutes without being in  one of the classrooms to get some face scratches. 

The adopters, their kids, a cat and other dogs have welcomed  Walter  into the pack with loving paws stretched wide open.  Walter , you have hit the jackpot with your new family!
