25-057 Daisy  and  25-058 Muffy  originally were adopted in 2019; the owner passed away and her daughter-in-law took the dogs. Unfortunately, she had  to move to California and was unable to take them with her. An AGR member, a close friend of the original owner, has now become their forever caregiver. These two are a bonded pair and needed to  stay together.  Daisy , a 13-year-old female Golden Retriever, and  Muffy , a Terrier mix also 13 years old, have easily adjusted to their forever home! According to the adopter: 

Daisy  is a real sweetheart! I met  Daisy  when she first came into Rescue six years ago  and knew she was a real love bug when my friend adopted her! She loves attention, smiles a lot and is a real joy to have as part of my family of furry friends. 

As much as  Daisy  loves watching the resident cats, wanting to play with them, the cats are still adjusting to having two additional dogs in the household (there were already three) and are slowly venturing back out amongst the dogs. Oh, what a life for  Daisy ! Picture this:  Daisy  loves to lie in the backyard soaking up the sun and gazing around. When she wants to come in, she runs across the yard like she’s hit a home run and just about slides through the door. For a 13-year-old, she can have a lot of energy!

There is always a chatterbox in the group. In this case it is  Muffy . In the adopter's words:  Muffy  is a real talker! She always greets me when I come home by throwing her head back, howling and telling me a story! Not only that,  Muffy  likes to sit in my chair, warms it up for me, and then enjoys sitting in my lap for attention! 

Other favorite things for these two include snuggles and cuddles in the morning and going on walks where they sniff every rock, bush, and plant that meets their noses. As the adopter puts it:  Thank goodness I’m not into power walking!  What a perfect home for  Daisy  and  Muffy !
