Well Dakota is off to a great start! She has her new extra large kennel and has learned to go and sit in it on command. But she doesn't sleep in it...she is too cuddly not to let on the bed! And she is such a good girl at night. She just cuddles up against a leg and sleeps until the sun comes up and then wakes her new dad up so we can play ball in the yard until I have to get ready for work. Then she goes in her crate...very unhappily. But she listens and does it to please her Dad. So far she knows Sit, Down, Stay, Give Paw, Go to Cage, Come, and High Five. She is still working on Roll Over...she kind of has it but not quite. And fetching....well I don't think you could ever stop this little tennis ball retrieving machine. But as wild as a puppy can be, she is always gentle, even when playing with a rambunctious puppy half her size. But she definitely has a LOT of puppy exuberance when it comes to meeting people! She definitely gives a Golden Retriever "I love everybody" greeting! Dakota is an ever curious puppy which is getting her in a bit of trouble...and she REALLY likes to graze on the back yard when she thinks her Dad isn't looking. And she is definitely a "bird dog"...she wants to chase every bird she sees! She definitely is a fast learner and I hope to be able to bring her to AZ Golden Rescue events soon when she has her manners a bit more refined. And she is definitely "Daddy's girl"...even though she is already 40 plus pounds, she LOVES to be picked up ad held and cuddled...and I could NEVER say no that adorable face! She is VERY VERY loved, and always will be!
